Basin Transload Plant Operation

J-Sons Inc. scope of work included the design and construction of this turn-key frac sand facility. Silos were designed structurally for 100,000 cf at 100 pcf with an average truck load out rate of less than 2 minutes. Two trucks can be loaded out simultaneously.

Civil Work Included:

  • Piles – 252 x 65’-0” auger cast
  • Pile cap foundation 3’-0” thick
  • (2) rail gravity receiving pits to unload (2) cars simultaneously
  • 4-Pack silo configured slip – 44’-0” dia. x 112’-0” silos
  • (4) Silo bin bottoms made up of a reinforced concrete slab supported by (8) concrete columns. Hopper slopes are concrete lined with mild steel sheeting
  • Concrete roof with structural support beams
  • Truck Scale Piers
  • Rail Building and Control Room Foundation
  • Driveway Entry and Exit Enclosure Foundations

 

Mechanical Equipment Included:

  • (2) Receiving Bucket Elevators – 500 tph
  • (2) Bin Fill Conveyors @ 500 tph and (2) Bin Fill Conveyors @ 1000tph arranged to allow each bucket elevator to feed each of the (4) silos
  • (6) Triten Lined 2-Way Valves
  • Triten Lined Bin Fill Spouting
  • (4) Bin Bottom Load-out Arrangements
